So every month now, apparently, it's my job to oversee the billing department at ATT and make sure if their bill doesn't come in the mail on time, that I have the billing address and all my info and I send a hand made paper copy and send a check even though they didn't send the bill OR I WILL BE CHARGED $5. The nice person who assisted me was not able to make any adjustments to my billing timing. Recently, the billing practices have become questionable. I have been an ATT customer, who has paid on time every single month for over 20 years. They expect me to get the bill from the mail box, rip it open, pray that it not already past the due date and express mail the check to them or I get charged late fees and extra monies just for paying my bill. They told me it would take 2 cycles to switch me back to paper billing.And there would also be a fee for them to generate a paper bill in the mean time, Even though THEY are the ones making it impossible for me to pay.Įvery other company I work with sends out the bill and it is due a few weeks, some as much as 30 days from the date they sent it. When I told them to switch me back and tried to pay them by phone, they, again charged ME for paying my bill.
I called ATT within a week of when the bill should have come and found out they switched me without any permission from me. I noticed that the bill seemed late in arriving. 9 months or so ago, someone switched me to paperless billing without my consent. This isn't the first time I have had difficulty like this. I called customer service and there was a charge of $5.00 for me to pay on time. I opened the ATT bill and the due date was today July 18.
I put the mail on my desk, knowing I would be paying bills today (Tuesday July 18). Last night, I retrieved my mail from the box, as I do every day. Hello, I have had a problem paying the ATT bill on time because it arrives in the mail and is due the next day.
